I'm seriously pissed off at the way Glee writers insist on
paralleling whatever happens with Klaine\Finchel and Kurt\Rachel.
They've done a couple of times but it really got out of hand in season
4.
In Glease, we were told that there will be a conversation between Klaine, Kurt went to Lima specifically for that purpose. Instead, we found a very pointless conversation between Finchel that I'm having trouble figuring out the purpose of to this day, while Klaine barely had a 1 minute conversation. and okay, I get the reason behind the brief Klaine conversation and I'm not complaining (okay, who am I kidding? I AM complaining) but why give Finchel one in the same episode, seconds before the Klaine one? Didn't they say everything they wanted to say in The Break Up? We even got to see them actually break up while Klaine's break up was behind the scenes.
Klaine got a long over due phone call in Thanksgiving, there was a reason behind the call and it fell in line with what Isabelle was telling Kurt. Rachel, on the other hand, called Finn after winning the Winter Showcase, which honestly confused the hell out of me. Didn't Rachel decide not to call Finn in the beginning of the episode so as not to remind him of another loss after ND lost Sectionals? So of course it makes PERFECT SENSE for her to call him after winning a competition that no freshmen has ever won before, talk about rubbing it in his face, Rachel. Yeah, sure, I loved the pep talk and that it kicked Finn into gear, but why the hell would she call him in the first place? It was an out of the blue decision that contradicted what she said before, and she was also calling her ex for no reason whatsoever after taking steps into a relationship with another. But of course since Klaine got a phone call, Finchel just HAD to get one too, can't have Klaine do anything that isn't mirrored perfectly by Finchel after all.
Now the Kurt\Rachel situation, that one just got out of control. They've doing that since season 1 with the Defying Gravity sing-off and they went ridiculously overboard with it in S3. And every single time, they make it like they want to point out that Rachel is better than Kurt, even when she actually isn't. So let's go over season 3 for a minute here

- Both auditioned for the lead roles in WSS. Mercedes was better than Rachel but no one would tell the almighty Rachel Berry that so she got the role after Mercedes withdrew. With Kurt, they first had Beiste say that he's too much of a lady,made them laugh at him then bet him against his own boyfriend. And don't get me started on the fact the he was too much of a lady to play a gangster but they were okay with him playing a freaking police officer.
- They both ran for Senior Class President which ended with Rachel withdrawing from the race and yet, Kurt still lost.
- Both auditioned for NYADA. Kurt killed his audition while Rachel choked. Yet, it was Rachel who got into NYADA. The excuse they gave for Kurt not getting in through Carmen is a load of crap. I've watched the ND performances at Nationals a million time and I can't find "complexity and depth" or "show of vulnerability" in Rachel's performance so I really can't understand why Rachel got in instead of Kurt.
