Kadamers attacking Klaine

I just read a very interesting post that was sort of comparing Klaine to Kadam and I just can't. I get that the note was addressed to Oliver and it was about how Adam was a good character and all, but the comparison was just insane.

The note said, and I quote: "When did Blaine ever make Kurt feel special; it was always about what Kurt need to do for him- where Adam always lights up in his soul around Kurt through Adam's eyes the mirror to the soul"

Let's start from the top, what did Blaine ever do to make Kurt feel special? Count with me, will you?
  • He was there for Kurt when no one else was, Kurt's own friends didn't notice his struggle but Blaine, a stranger that didn't even know him, picked up on it and went out of his way to help him, even driving to Mckinley to help Kurt face his bully.
  • When he was telling Kurt about how he felt, he gave this beautiful heartwarming speech followed by an incredible kiss that made up for the fact that Kurt's first kiss was taken from him, the whole scene went down in TV history as one of the best.
  • He insisted that Kurt duet with him at Regionals, picking a song with " a little more emotion"
  • He supported Kurt when he decided to go back to Mckinley and recruited the Warblers to serenade Kurt in front of the entire school.
  • He went with Kurt to Prom despite his fear, supported him when he was elected Prom Queen and even stepped up to dance with him in front of the all the homophobic idiots that were trying to break Kurt.
  • He transferred schools to be with Kurt.
  • He supported Kurt when he was doubtful that he would get into NYADA.
  • He took a slushie for Kurt
  • He supported Kurt in his decision not to dress in a drag for Nationals
  • He encouraged Kurt to go to NY when he saw how unhappy he was
Yup, Blaine never made Kurt feel special. He was a terrible, terrible boyfriend. And what was that about Adam lighting up around Kurt? We saw the guy in two episodes where he had less than 10 minutes of screen time. I'm trying hard to find the "lighting up" part but I'm coming up with nothing.

Another quote: "Adam's serenading song was about accepting unique things about a person where as Blaine's was superficial". Yeah, sure, a songs about butts that objectify women just screams uniqueness to me. I mean look at lyrics like "that butt you got make me so horny", "to hell with romancing", "I just can't help myself, I'm acting like an animal", "if you want to roll in my Mercedes, then turn around and stick it out", those are just SOME of the lines of the oh so incredible song.

Now the so called superficial song, Teenage Dream. The songs is about acceptance and love and support, about loving everything about your significant other. Yes, it does include lines like " the way you turn me on" and "put your hands on me in my skintight jeans" but it doesn't just speak of a physical aspect. Teenage Dream has lyrics like " things were kinda heavy, you brought me to life", "my heart stops when you look at me" and "my missing puzzle piece, I'm complete". So yes, some of the lines were about physicality but the whole songs just screams of love and devotion.

Comparing the two songs just highlights how utterly ridiculous Baby Got Back is so please, love Kadam\ Adam all you want but if you think for a second that putting Blaine\Teenage Dream in a comparison with Adam\Baby Got back will work in your favor, or try to make it look like Adam is the perfect fit for Kurt by demeaning Blaine and Klaine, then you really won't like the comparisons WE will make. And do NOT get me started on the desperate move of trending "Klaine is Abusive " during I Do. We have two years of history and love and devotion under our belt, Kadamers have two episodes and a "sort of dating" status.
