Wow, people are blowing this whole Hypable poll thing way out of proportion and tearing each other apart.
I’m a fan of both Klaine and Destiel. I was a SPN addict for years before Glee seduced me over to the dark side and to be honest, this war is making me sick.
Why is everybody trying to degrade the other ship? Destiel fans are slamming Klaine because apparently, they are immature, lack development as characters and oh yeah, Blaine cheated on Kurt. Um, they are teenagers for one. The entire show isn’t based on them, they have like 10 other main characters sharing air time and did everybody forget that in SPN, Castiel lied to Dean’s face, sided with Crowley and then took down the wall that was preventing memories of hell to drive Sam nuts or did I imagine this whole freaking season? So you’re comparing an insecure teenager who suffered a temporary lapse of judgement and was immediately remorseful to an angel who “risked everything for a hunter, including his grace” (words of a SPN fan, not mine) and yet betrayed his friend in the worst way possible, was this close to drive his brother insane and he wasn’t even sorry, well not until the levaithans decided to do a number on the guy and take him to a trip in wacko world. You guys think RIB destroyed Blaine? Eric Kripke and Co. RUINED Castiel and their attempt to redeem the guy was too little too late.
Now Gleeks, you’re attacking Destiel fans because Destiel aren’t canon? One word, no actually two words: Brittana and Faberry. Brittana existed in the fandom long before they became canon. Faberry is still a fandom favorite despite the fact that the chances of that ship happening is below zero. And I’m sorry, you can’t slam SPN for using pseudo- innuendos when you have the straight-turned-lesbian cheerleader making fun of Dalton and saying that she had too many gay jokes going through her head. Please don’t tell me she was confused and didn’t realize her feelings for Brittany because correct me if I’m wrong, Santana told Brittany in The Break Up that she used to watch her in sophomore year and would die when Brittany didn’t smile at her. Sophomore year = season one.
It’s so easy to destroy both ships and all four characters, hell both shows, if you look too close and try to use a moral compass. Saying that because a person cheated or another lied, the foundation of that relationship is ruined is just ridiculous. Things do not work like that in real life, let alone a TV show. Things are not right or wrong or black and white. Stop trying to rationalize your reasons for loving a certain ship. I’ve loved ships that were the most dysfunctional and unhealthy ships on earth but I still loved them. There are no rational reasons to justify why you ship a certain couple\ friendship, you just do. Love whoever you want but do not attack other ships and try to prove how much they suck because you’ll face people who will try to prove how much your ship sucks and then, hello fan wars.
